Here, Kevin tries to feed some lettuce to a pigeon. We found way less pigeons on the trip than was expected, and found out that the animals around D.C. were more easily scared away by humans compared to College Park!
3. Finding a statue portraying a woman figure.
We found a cool statue of a women across the white house!
4. Standing beside an optical illusion.
Our group went into the burning man exhibit and saw many different optical illusions. Here, we have Prem trying to spin the wheel really fast to display an eye illusion. However, one of the employees at the museum told Prem to slow down so the visual effect is not really clear.
5. Locating a monument that we never knew existed.
Our group found multiple monuments of historical figures on the ground while walking towards towards the Burning Man Exhibit from Tesla. These monuments all shared really motivational quotes and stories that kept us motivated on our journey.
6. A confrontation with an odd creature
Our insight: We realize that in the midst of government buildings, damp alleys, dirty roads, and bustling sidewalks, creatures continue to thrive beneath our feet. Rats, mice, snails, centipedes, squirrels and other similar forms of wildlife are participating in the DC Metro area ecosystem. It's important that we nurture their growth and ability to thrive in human-colonized environments.
